Since June 2014, we have an agreement, for both outpatient service and paediatric surgery, with the Gaslini Hospital in Genoa, one of the most important European paediatric hospitals.
Dr. Giuseppe Martucciello (professor of Paediatric Surgery at Gaslini Paediatric Hospital and at the University of Genoa; one of the most renowned experts in the field of paediatric surgery, author of internationally accepted protocols; and also one of the major international authorities on the study Hirschsprung’s Disease, and chronic paediatric constipation), as of June 2014 will set up a pediatric service for outpatients and surgery in our Medical Centre, assisted by Dr. Cutrupi, (paediatric surgeon and paediatric urologist; formerly consultant at the Ospedale di Circolo e Fondazione Macchi in Varese), and also by Dr. M. Barbalace (in charge of the Paediatric and Neonatal Surgery Service at Madonna della Consolazione General Hospital).
At Le Betulle we will be able to provide care for patients between 0 and 16 years of age, in need of specialist consultations for the following ailments:
- all problems related to paediatric constipation;
- recurring abdominal pain;
- inguinal canal disorders (hernia, hydrocele, spermatoceles, etc.);
- phimosis and balano preputial adhesions;
- hypospadia;
- urinary tract infections and vesicouretral reflux;
- any malformations.
Prof. Martucciello will be available on the first Friday of every month, while Dr. Cutrupi and Dr. Barbalace every Saturday morning, by appointment. For appointments, call our secretary on 031 973200.
