Eating disorders can be defined as persistent eating related behaviours – which may or may not be directed specifically at weight control and are not secondary to any known medical or psychiatric condition – that significantly damage an individual’s physical health or psychological capacity. There are several different forms of eating disorder, including: Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Atypical Eating Disorders (Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder – OSFED). In the last category, BED (Binge Eating Disorder, frequently associated with Obesity) is the most common.
